šŸŒ The Accidental Expert: Why I’m Bringing GENeXpatLife to Pinterest šŸ“Œ

Having spent part of my life living as an American expat in Mumbai, India—yes, you read that correctly—and as an experienced long-haul flyer (all too often in coach), I’ve learned and perfected some things I never thought I would. One of the goals with GENeXpatLife is to share my knowledge in these areas and more.

🤷Real Talk: We Don't Know What We Don't Know šŸ’”

I want to thank my followers who have reached out to remind me that things I take for granted as "common knowledge" just aren't. For instance, did you know many countries will not let you enter if your passport expires in 6 months or less? Or that you should never smile when getting a passport photo taken? :)

Why Pinterest? šŸ“Œ

Had you told me even nine months ago I would have a Pinterest account AND be creating boards, I would have laughed and asked, ā€œWhat is a ā€˜board’?ā€ But here we are. It’s the most efficient way for me to share the products and "intel" I’ve gathered.

While my Pinterest boards have specific names to keep things organized, they generally fall into these three categories (so far):

  1. Modern Caregiving: Managing your parents' lives, care, and security. This is that season many of us Gen-X’ers are in, were in, or will be in soon.

  2. Life Pivots: Navigating those moments when life changes—whether you wanted it to or not.

  3. Packing the Perfect Carry-On: From comfort and wellness to cleanliness and security, there are items out there to make even the middle seat a bit better.

Let’s Build This Together šŸ¤

I’m using these boards to house my Amazon recommendations and hard-earned tips. If there are areas, products, or items you are looking for more intel on, please share that with me. I may already have it on my list, and I can move it to the top of my priority list for you.
